Job summary

Nortera Foods Inc. in Tecumseh, ON is seeking a highly motivated Seasonal Wastewater Operator to join our team.

Reporting to the department manager, you will support clean water processes and continuous improvement in a fast-paced vegetable production environment. Responsibilities include monitoring operations, inspecting equipment, testing wastewater and adjusting dosing, while maintaining logs and complying with OHSA safety standards.

Qualifications

• Experience with wastewater treatment or industrial processes is required.
• Able to operate computerized control systems and monitoring instruments.
• Strong focus on safety, teamwork and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Monitor plant operations and adjust as needed to maintain efficiency.
• Inspect wastewater equipment including pumps, blowers, motors, conveyors, and filters.
• Test wastewater, sludge and effluent quality and respond to results.
• Read data from meters and gauges to identify improvements.
• Maintain logs and inventory, and ensure compliance with safety standards.
