MPS Group, Inc., is seeking a Wastewater Treatment Operator based in Oakville, ON. This individual is responsible for daily plant operations, monitoring, sampling, troubleshooting, and maintaining equipment to ensure the facility meets all regulatory requirements.

Shift:2nd or 3rd Shift

Schedule:Monday - Friday, 2:00 p.m. - 10:00 a.m. / 10:00 p.m. - 6:30 a.m.

Responsibilities and Job duties:

• Operate and monitor wastewater treatment processes, including pumps, tanks, chemical dosing systems, solids filtration systems, clarifiers, etc.
• Perform routine inspections, sampling, and raw water analysis.
• Conduct wastewater lab tests and interpret the results to ensure regulatory compliance and optimize chemical usage and overall system performance.
• Complete daily logs, documentation, and regulatory records.
• Conduct basic maintenance and troubleshoot equipment issues.
• Communicate plant status and issues to supervisors.

Requirements and Qualifications:

• Minimum of one year industry related experience.
• Experience in industrial and municipal wastewater systems.
• MECP Wastewater Operator Certification (OIT or higher).

• Ability to troubleshoot pumps, valves, and instrumentation.
