Job summary

The Municipality is seeking a General Labourer to operate a sidewalk tractor for snow removal and to apply abrasives to prevent ice on sidewalks. The contract runs from November 15, 2026 to April 15, 2027, with on-call shifts including days, evenings and weekends.

Candidates should have a high school diploma, 6 months of related experience, a valid G driver's license, and bilingual English/French abilities. A criminal record check is required upon hire.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Bilingual in English and French preferred.
• Minimum 6 months to 1 year of related snow removal experience.
• Valid Class G driver's license.
• Good oral communication in both languages.

Responsibilities

• Operate a sidewalk tractor for snow removal in the assigned area.
• Manually remove snow from areas difficult to access.
• Apply abrasives (salt) to prevent ice formation.
• Report defects or issues with equipment and maintain cleanliness.
