Job summary

Crate & Barrel in Calgary is hiring Seasonal Sales Associates who are enthusiastic brand ambassadors, dedicated to helping customers find the perfect gift or home accent. You bring warmth, product knowledge, and a team spirit that keeps the store experience fun, engaging, and memorable.

As a part-time associate, you’ll greet customers, answer questions, demonstrate products, and support leadership in achieving sales goals while upholding safety and merchandising standards.

Qualifications

• Customer service or retail experience preferred.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to move and/ or lift up to 50 pounds; heavier merchandise with team assist.
• Must be able to work the weekend after Thanksgiving AND the days surrounding Christmas.
• Part-Time roles: Availability to work two or more weekend days and at least one weekday or night.

Responsibilities

• Drive sales through engagement of customers, suggestive selling and product knowledge.
• Greet and assist customers, process payments, and involve leadership as appropriate.
• Communicate promotions, offers, loyalty programs and initiatives to customers.
• Provide excellent service and uphold company standards in selling, service, visual merchandising and teamwork.
• Lead by example and support store leadership in profitability and operational excellence.
• Assist with stocking displays and ensuring product availability on the sales floor.
• Engage in, maintain and support store safety standards and training.
• Responsible for meeting sales goals as assigned by leaders.
• Execute visual merchandising standards to engage customers and associates with products.
• Achieve CBH Credit Card and email capture metrics as assigned by leaders.

A day in the life as a Sales Associate...

• Drive sales through engagement of customers, suggestive selling, sharing and demonstrating product knowledge and product expertise.
• Greet and receive customers in a welcoming manner, respond to customer questions, process payments, and involve leadership as appropriate.
• Communicate and have awareness of applicable promotions, offers, loyalty programs, and other initiatives to customers.
• Possess and demonstrate excellent service and company standards in selling, customer service, visual merchandising and teamwork.
• Lead by example and support store leadership in holding self and others accountable for store profitability and operational excellence.
• Assist with ensuring product and displays on the sales floor are stocked appropriately and available for customers to purchase.
• Engage in, maintain and support store safety standards and training.
• Responsible for meeting sales goals as assigned by leaders.
• Execute and maintain the visual merchandising standards of the sales floor to engage customers and associates with the product, as needed.
• Responsible for meeting CBH Credit Card (CBHCC) and email capture metrics as assigned by leaders.
