Job summary

Crate and Barrel is seeking Seasonal Cashiers in Toronto to deliver warm, engaging service and keep the cashwrap inviting. You will process orders quickly, answer questions, and support leadership to run the day smoothly.

If you enjoy home styling and helping customers find the perfect gift, this role could be a fit. Prior customer service or retail experience is preferred; weekend availability is required during the holiday season, and associates receive the employee discount.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Process customers' orders quickly, efficiently, and accurately through the POS system
• Meet CBHCC and email capture metrics as assigned by leaders
• Answer customer questions in a professional and respectful manner
• Process payments per POS training
• Promote promotions, offers, loyalty programs to customers
• Wrap/bag orders and keep the cash wrap neat and stocked
• Support store leadership to maintain profitability and store standards
• Ensure products and displays are stocked and merchandised as needed
• Contribute to a welcoming in-store experience for customers

A day in the life as a Seasonal Cashier…:

• Drive sales through quickly, efficiently, and accurately processing customers' orders through the POS (point of sale) system.
• Responsible for meeting CBH Credit Card (CBHCC) and email capture metrics as assigned by leaders.
• Respond to customer questions in a professional and respectful manner.
• Process payments as outlined in the POS training.
• Communicate and have awareness of applicable promotions, offers, loyalty programs, and other initiatives to customers.
• Wrap and/or bag customers' orders with care; maintain a neat and safe cash wrap. Ensure cash wraps are fully stocked with supplies.
• Lead by example and support store leadership in holding self and others accountable for store profitability and operational excellence.
• Assist with ensuring products and displays on the sales floor are stocked appropriately and available for customers to purchase.
• Execute and maintain the visual merchandising standards of the sales floor to engage customers and associates with the product, as needed.

What you'll bring to the table…

• Customer service or retail experience preferred
• Good communication skills
• Ability to move and/ or lift up to 50 pounds; heavier merchandise with team assist
• Must be able to work the weekend after Thanksgiving AND the days surrounding Christmas
• Part-Time roles: Availability to work two or more weekend days (Friday, Saturday, and/or Sunday) and at least one weekday or night
