Job summary

Crate and Barrel in Calgary is seeking Seasonal Cashiers to deliver warm, engaging service at the cash wrap and help customers dream up gifts. You’ll process orders quickly, answer questions, and keep the checkout area neat and welcoming while supporting store leadership.

This role suits those with retail or customer service experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds with team assistance.

Qualifications

• Customer service or retail experience preferred
• Good communication skills
• Ability to move and/ or lift up to 50 pounds; heavier merchandise with team assist
• Must be able to work the weekend after Thanksgiving AND the days surrounding Christmas
• Part-Time roles: Availability to work two or more weekend days (Friday, Saturday, and/or Sunday) and at least one weekday or night

Responsibilities

• Drive sales through quickly, efficiently, and accurately processing customers' orders through the POS (point of sale) system.
• Responsible for meeting CBH Credit Card (CBHCC) and email capture metrics as assigned by leaders.
• Respond to customer questions in a professional and respectful manner.
• Process payments as outlined in the POS training.
• Communicate and have awareness of applicable promotions, offers, loyalty programs, and other initiatives to customers.
• Wrap and/or bag customers' orders with care; maintain a neat and safe cash wrap. Ensure cash wraps are fully stocked with supplies.
• Lead by example and support store leadership in holding self and others accountable for store profitability and operational excellence.
• Assist with ensuring products and displays on the sales floor are stocked appropriately and available for customers to purchase.
• Execute and maintain the visual merchandising standards of the sales floor to engage customers and associates with the product, as needed.

A day in the life as a Seasonal Cashier…:
