Job summary

Roots is seeking a Sales Associate at our Brookfield Place location in Toronto to provide exceptional service, build relationships with customers, and maintain store standards. The role requires cash handling, merchandising, and a proactive, friendly attitude to drive loyalty and store success.

You will contribute to product presentation, replenishment, stock reception, and visual displays while upholding Loss Prevention policies and brand guidelines.

Qualifications

• Retail experience in apparel preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to develop relationships with customers.
• Experience with cash handling and merchandise presentation.
• Self-starter with good judgment in all situations.
• Excellent presentation skills in a retail environment.
• Upbeat, optimistic, passionate and friendly.
• Ability to understand the needs of the customer.
• Ability to build buy-in to an idea, a decision, an action, a product, or a service.

Responsibilities

• Display a customer-first attitude and help build customer loyalty.
• Resolve customer issues effectively at store level in a timely and positive manner.
• Be a team player and contribute to store success.
• Perform POS transactions and merchandising tasks: receiving shipments, replenishment, price markdowns, fitting room upkeep.
• Stay current on product and service updates.
• Keep the store visually appealing and aligned with brand presentation, replenishment, housekeeping and displays.
• Adhere to Loss Prevention policies.
