Job summary

Eataly Sherway Gardens in Toronto is seeking a seasonal, part-time Server to warmly welcome guests, present menus, and ensure a smooth dining experience. You will coordinate with front- and back-of-house teams to deliver exceptional service.

On-site availability, including evenings and weekends, is required. Competitive CAD 17.95 hourly wage plus tips accompanies a dynamic Italian marketplace environment.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Smart Serve.
• Availability to work onsite with a flexible schedule often including evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand/walk/bend/squat for up to 8 hours.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and present menus.
• Inform guests of specials and dietary options.
• Take orders and relay to kitchen staff using POS.
• Coordinate with hosts, table support, kitchen and bartenders.
• Present and pour wine and beer when serving guests.
• Assist with stocking stations and resetting used dishes.
• Assist at the counter-service register and perform other duties.

Contract

This is a seasonal position with an expected end date of 1/03/2027.

A Server coordinates the entire service station and communicates with front of the house and back of the house personnel to provide a dining experience that exceeds guest expectations. Reports to the Restaurant Managers.

Job Duties

• Greets guests and presents them with the menu
• Informs guests of specials, menu changes, answers questions regarding food, beverages and allergies
• Receives food and beverage orders from guests and relays to kitchen staff and bartender using a POS system
• Communicates with the hosts, table support team, kitchen staff and bartenders to coordinate stations
• Presents, opens and pours wine and beer when serving guests
• Assists table support team with stocking work stations, removing and resetting used dishes/silverware
• Assists with cash register at counter-service restaurants
• Performs other duties as required or assigned

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Knowledge of the sequence of service and dining room procedures
• Basic math skills

Compensation

• Compensation for this role is CAD $17.95 hourly, plus tips
