Job summary

Eataly Sherway Gardens is seeking a Seasonal Restaurant Server (Part-Time) to join our on-site team. You will greet guests, present menus, explain specials, and coordinate with kitchen and bar to ensure smooth service.

We're looking for a team player with a valid Smart Serve, flexible availability including evenings and weekends, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. The role offers CAD 17.95 per hour plus tips and opportunities to learn about Italian cuisine at a premier marketplace.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Smart Serve certification.
• Availability to work onsite with a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand and move for up to 8 hours.

Responsibilities

• Greets guests and presents them with the menu
• Informs guests of specials, menu changes, answers questions regarding food, beverages and allergies
• Receives food and beverage orders from guests and relays to kitchen staff and bartender using a POS system
• Communicates with hosts, table support team, kitchen staff and bartenders to coordinate stations
• Presents, opens and pours wine and beer when serving guests
• Assists table support team with stocking work stations, removing and resetting used dishes/silverware
• Assists with cash register at counter-service restaurants

Seasonal Restaurant Server (Part-Time) - Eataly Sherway Gardens

This is a seasonal position with an expected end date of 1/03/2027.

A Server coordinates the entire service station and communicates with front of the house and back of the house personnel to provide a dining experience that exceeds guest expectations. Reports to the Restaurant Managers.

• Greets guests and presents them with the menu
• Informs guests of specials, menu changes, answers questions regarding food, beverages and allergies

• Performs other duties as required or assigned
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Knowledge of the sequence of service and dining room procedures
  • Basic math skills

Compensation

• Compensation for this role is CAD $17.95 hourly, plus tips
