Job summary

Pursuit Collection Jasper is hiring a Prep Cook to deliver high-quality hospitality experiences. You will assist in daily kitchen operations, prepare ingredients, and help create menu items in a fast-paced environment at our Jasper location.

The role requires prior cooking experience and a culinary certification or equivalent. Enjoy working outdoors in varying weather and being part of a supportive team with Pursuit perks and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Previous cooking experience preferred.
• Culinary certificate or equivalent is an asset.
• Food Safe certification is required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment.
• Excellent communication and attention to detail.
• Able to stand for long periods and work outdoors in varying weather.

Responsibilities

• Daily maintenance, organization and cleanliness of kitchen areas and equipment.
• Wash, peel and cut vegetables; prepare ingredients for cooking.
• Prepare, season and cook soups, salads, meats, fish, gravies, vegetables, desserts and casseroles.
• Carve meats and portion on plates with gravies and garnishes.
• Prepare items for buffets and special dietary dishes as needed.
• Stock and maintain product levels as directed by sous or head chef.
• Assist with dishwashing, waste sorting and general kitchen duties.
• Communicate with team and management and uphold safety standards.
