Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced heavy equipment operator to keep highways clear in varied weather. You will run snowplow trucks and wheel loaders, perform outdoor maintenance, and support crews with crack sealing and pothole repairs.

The role requires endurance for physically demanding tasks and willingness to work shifts, on-call duties, and nights. Applicants should have a valid Class 1 or Class 3 license with air endorsement and a clean three-year driving record.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Valid Class 1 or Class 3 driver's license with air endorsement.
• Clear 3-year driver's abstract.
• Previous experience operating a snowplow truck and/or wheel loader is an asset.
• Willingness to work shifts, on-call, and night shifts.

• Operate snowplow trucks, wheel loaders, and other heavy equipment as required.
• Maintain the Alaska Highways year-round.
• Assist with labourer duties including crack sealing, pothole repair, bridge and signage cleaning, and hazard remediation.
