Job summary

Jobtailor in Alberta is seeking a dependable Heavy Equipment Operator to support winter highway maintenance. You will operate snowplow trucks and wheel loaders to maintain Alberta Provincial Highways year-round, and assist with crack sealing, pothole repair, and signage cleaning.

You must be able to work outside in all weather conditions, perform shift work, and be willing to handle on-call and night shifts as weather dictates.

Qualifications

• Operate heavy equipment including snowplow trucks and wheel loaders.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Valid Class 1, 2 or 3 driver’s license with air endorsement and clean 3-year abstract.
• Willingness to work shifts, on-call, and night shifts as required.

Requirements

• Successful completion of pre-employment drug and alcohol testing
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Valid Class 1, 2 or 3 driver’s license with air endorsement
• Clear 3-year driver’s abstract
• Previous experience operating a snowplow truck and/or wheel loader is a strong asset
• Ability to work outside in all weather conditions
• Willingness to work shifts, on-call, and night shifts as required
