Job summary

Jobtailor in Alberta is seeking an experienced heavy equipment operator to help maintain provincial highways year-round. You will operate snowplow trucks and wheel loaders and support labourer duties as needed.

The role requires working outdoors in all weather, willingness to shift, on-call, and night shifts, and a valid Class 1/3 license with air endorsement. Prior snowplow or loader experience is valued, and candidates must pass pre-employment drug and alcohol testing.

Qualifications

• Class 1 or 3 driver’s license with air endorsement.
• Pre-employment drug and alcohol testing required.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Clear 3-year driver’s abstract.
• Previous experience operating a snowplow truck and/or wheel loader is a strong asset.
• Availability for shift work, on-call work, and night shifts.
• Ability to work outside in all weather conditions.
