Job summary

The Salvation Army in Canada is seeking a temporary Christmas Kettle Assistant in Nanaimo to organize and supervise kettle campaign activities, schedule staff and volunteers, and ensure smooth operations and secure handling of donations.

Ideal candidates will have at least one year in community programs, strong administration skills, and familiarity with WORD and EXCEL; valid driver’s license is required. Local travel may be needed.

Qualifications

• Completed High School or equivalent.
• Experience in office administration is preferred.
• Valid Ontario Class “G” Driver’s License with acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Assist with coordinating and overseeing Christmas Kettle activities and volunteers.
• Oversee scheduling of staff/volunteers for the Christmas Kettle Campaign.
• Orient and manage performance of kettle staff/volunteers.
• Coordinate delivery and pickup of kettles; ensure donation security.
