Job summary

The Salvation Army is seeking a Kettle Campaign Coordinator II for the Christmas season. This fixed-term, part-time role oversees multiple kettle locations in a designated zone, working in malls and stores, and ensuring secure handling of donations.

Shifts are 20 hours per week, with 4 openings in St. Albert, Stoney Plain, and Spruce Grove. Accommodation is available upon request for eligible applicants.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license and a reliable vehicle.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Enthusiastic Team Player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to lift 9 to 12 kgs (20 – 25 lbs).
• Strong customer service skills; enjoy liaising with people of all ages.
• Willingness to be flexible and work under daily timelines and changing priorities.
• Maintenance of confidentiality in handling donor, volunteer, and organizational information.

Responsibilities

• Attend a training/orientation for The Salvation Army and the Christmas Kettle Campaign.
• Support in getting kettles to zone locations before volunteers arrive.
• Ensure all kettle donations are delivered to secure locations after each shift.
• Communicate daily issues and supply needs to City/Assistant Coordinator.
• Supervise kettle volunteers during the campaign.
• Participate in recruiting new volunteers.
• Visit locations during shift changes and intermittently.
• Ensure timesheets and mileage reports are submitted on time.
