Job summary

The Salvation Army in Canada is seeking a Christmas Support Worker to assist Community and Family Services during the holiday season on a temporary basis. This full-time role (35 hours per week) supports donations processing and distribution at the Christmas program.

Responsibilities include sorting donations, arranging pickups, helping set up hampers, and recording data. A High School diploma and a valid Ontario Class G driver's license with a personal vehicle are required, with flexibility for

Qualifications

• Completed High School or equivalent.
• Minimum of one year of related community-based program experience would be an asset.
• Valid Ontario Class 'G' Driver's License with personal vehicle and insurance; clean driver’s abstract.

Responsibilities

• Assist with processing, unloading, documenting, and sorting donations of toys and food for the Christmas program and assist with preparing donated items for distribution.
• Assist with pick-ups of food and toy donations from community donors using program vehicle.
• Assist with sorting toy donations and setting up/taking down the Christmas hamper distribution centre.
• Record statistical data in a clear, organized, and accurate manner.
• May assist in the Kettle campaign where needed; perform other related duties.
