Job summary

The Salvation Army is hiring a temporary Christmas Support Worker in Aurora, Ontario. This full-time seasonal role supports Community and Family Services during the Christmas program, handling donations, sorting items, and supporting distribution efforts.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma, at least a year in community-based programs, and proficiency with Microsoft Office and email tools. Valid Ontario G driver’s license and vehicle required; shifts include days, evenings, weekends.

Qualifications

• Completed High School or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in community-based programs is asset.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and email/internet tools.

Responsibilities

• Assist with processing, unloading and sorting donations for the Christmas program.
• Assist with pickups of food and toy donations from community donors using a program vehicle.
• Assist with set up and takedown of toy and food Christmas hampers distribution centre.
• Record statistical data clearly and accurately.
• May assist with the Kettle campaign as needed.
