Job summary

Bass Pro Shops in Dartmouth, NS is hiring for a Part-Time Seasonal Camping Associate to join our team and deliver legendary customer service with strong product knowledge. You will help customers select from outdoor gear, promote store programs, and maintain presentation standards on the shop floor.

You’ll work under the Retail Manager, supporting operating needs, handling restocking, and contributing to a welcoming, outdoors-focused shopping experience.

Qualifications

• One or more years’ experience in a sales or service environment is preferred.
• Ability to evaluate customers’ needs and make recommendations based on needs.
• Ability to provide superior customer service and exceed customer’s expectations.
• Ability to use good judgment and logic.
• Experience in a related field or outdoor lifestyle.
• Knowledge of Bass Pro Shops & Cabela’s products is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Provide legendary customer service by assisting customers in making buying decisions by identifying and evaluating customers’ needs, and making product recommendations.
• Promote various company programs and promotions.
• Maintain visual presentation standards including in-store signage, merchandise recovering/front facing, restocking, remerchandising, dusting, and vacuuming sales floor as needed.
• Respond to and resolve customer issues by using good judgment and logic in solving problems and making decisions within the job scope.
• Assist in other areas of the store when business needs dictate.
• Demonstrate a passion for the outdoors by maintaining knowledge of trends and emerging technologies that relate to the outdoor lifestyle.

Summary
