Job summary

Bass Pro Shops in Ottawa is hiring for seasonal Associates to deliver legendary customer service and expert product knowledge. Interviews will be conducted on-site during the national hiring event with a focus on helping customers find the right outdoor gear.

Starting pay ranges from 17.60 to 20.25 CAD per hour, with an outfitter discount and other benefits available. This role emphasizes teamwork, adaptability, and a passion for outdoor experiences.

Qualifications

• One or more years’ experience in a sales or service environment is preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Ability to evaluate customers’ needs and make recommendations.
• Knowledge of Bass Pro Shops & Cabela’s products is an asset.

Reporting to the Retail Sales Manager - Canada, our Associates will work within a team to create a fun, world class shopping experience by providing legendary customer service and exceptional product knowledge to every customer.

Responsibilities:

• Provide legendary customer service by assisting customers in making buying decisions by identifying and evaluating customers’ needs, and making product recommendations based off of this analysis
• Promote various company programs and promotions
• Maintain visual presentation standards including in-store signage, merchandise recovering/front facing, restocking, remerchandising, dusting, and vacuuming sales floor as needed
• Respond to and resolve customer issues by using good judgment and logic in solving problems and making decisions within the job scope
• Assist in other areas of the store when business needs dictate
• Demonstrate a passion for the outdoors by maintaining knowledge of trends and emerging technologies that relate to the outdoor lifestyle
• Assist in other areas of the store when business needs dictate

Starting Pay Rate: $17.60 - $20.25
