Job description

Position: Scrum Master

Duration: 12 months contract + possible extension

Location: Edmonton, AB (Remote)

Certifications

• Active Certified Scrum Master certification

Technical Skills

• Knowledge of various software development methodologies (e.g., agile, waterfall, Scrum, Kanban, etc.)

Work Experience

• Experience delivering training sessions via web-based interactive technologies (e.g., WebEx, Skype, Polycom)
• Experience in Agile project methodology
• Experience leading and facilitating key agile ceremonies, including planning sessions, stand-ups, product demonstrations, and retrospectives
• Experience leading and mentoring teams in agile principles, policies, and procedures
• Experience planning work aligned with product owner priorities (Sprint planning and backlog grooming)
• Experience with software development processes, best practices, methods, standards, tools, and policies
• Experience working on agile software development and modern, service design-based product delivery at scale, such as in large organizations (government, private sector, startups)
• Direct experience in web service or software development
• Experience developing and maintaining positive stakeholder relationships, including with executive leadership
• Experience working in or for the public sector
• Experience working with teams applying UX design, service design, design thinking, or human-centered design approaches
