The Government of Alberta (“GoA”) is transforming government services to deliver simpler, more efficient, and better services for Albertans in the digital age. The Province aims to enhance digital delivery of services, ensuring effective meeting of citizens' needs.

  • The Digital Design and Delivery Division (“3D”) is the Province’s centre for digital delivery, focusing on service quality, standards, and modern digital practices, working with various ministries and possibly others throughout this engagement.
  • The Province requires up to eight (8) Scrum Masters to work with 3D on service innovation, program review, and digital transformation projects across the GoA. These Scrum Masters will collaborate with cross-functional teams led by GoA product owners.
  • The Scrum Masters will identify and remove obstacles affecting sprint commitments, manage the agile sprint process, and provide leadership and mentoring in agile principles, policies, and procedures. They will also facilitate communication, maximize transparency, and resolve conflicts.
Scope of Services
  • The Scrum Masters will work full-time (7.25 hours/day) across 2-3 projects, with hours varying based on project needs. They may work up to 1,960 hours per term, with potential for fewer or more hours as directed.
  • Services include leading and mentoring teams in agile practices, facilitating ceremonies, coaching on estimates and commitments, reporting progress, and participating in digital service activities.
