Job summary

Halifax Regional Centre for Education is seeking a Custodian to support the Operations Services Department in Nova Scotia. The custodian will help keep school buildings clean, sanitary, and well maintained, ensuring safety and attractiveness of facilities.

The position reports to the Caretaker and Building Management Supervisor, and works under NSUPE collective agreements. Applicants should be prepared for day, evening, and night shifts, with flexibility for part-time variations and a commitment

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs to perform cleaning duties.
• Basic computer skills.
• Able to work all shift schedules including day, evening and nights.
• Previous janitorial experience an asset.
