The Halifax Regional Centre for Education is seeking a Custodian to maintain clean, sanitary and attractive school facilities. Duties include cleaning and basic maintenance performed in a safe, proactive manner under the direction of the Caretaker and Building Management Supervisor.

The role operates under the NSUPE collective agreement, with flexibility to adjust hours to accommodate part-time positions as needed. Applicants from diverse backgrounds are encouraged to apply.

Formación

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Ability to lift 50lbs to perform cleaning duties.
• Basic computer skills.
• Able to work day, evening and night shifts.
• Previous janitorial experience is an asset.

Responsabilidades

• Maintain clean, sanitary and attractive appearance of school buildings and facilities.
• Perform cleaning and maintenance duties in a professional, efficient, proactive and safe manner.
• Reports to the Caretaker and Building Management Supervisor.
• Adhere to NSUPE collective agreement and HRCE policies.

Conocimientos

Layf ability to lift 50lbs

Basic computer skills

Able to work all shifts

Janitorial experience
