Halifax Regional Centre for Education is seeking a Caretaker to support the Operations Services Department. The role focuses on maintaining the daily operations of the designated facility, ensuring cleanliness, safety, sanitary conditions, and building security.

You will supervise assigned staff under the Building Management Supervisor. The position falls under the NSUPE collective agreement, with emphasis on inclusive hiring practices and compliance with applicable terms and conditions of

Formación

• Two years HRCE custodial experience or three years alternate janitorial experience or a combination of both for three years.
• Ability to lift 50lbs to perform cleaning and janitorial duties.
• Experience working in Microsoft Office (Outlook).
• Experience completing routine and preventative maintenance.
• Able to work all shift schedules including day, evening and nights.

Responsabilidades

• Maintain the daily operations of the designated facility within the Operations Services Department.
• Supervise assigned staff to ensure clean, safe, sanitary, and attractive building conditions.
• Ensure overall cleanliness, maintenance, and security of the school facility.
• Report to the Building Management Supervisor.
