Job summary

Oakwood Academy in Mississauga is seeking an Occupational Therapist to assess and deliver individualized therapy within a dynamic school-based setting, collaborating with Developmental Therapists and teachers to support students’ social and academic goals.

You will develop goals, document sessions, write progress reports, and participate in interprofessional planning for a diverse caseload, including autism, ADHD, language delays, and motor challenges, Monday to Friday.

Qualifications

• Strong background in case management.
• Experience with neurodiverse children and youth.
• Experience in school or therapeutic settings preferred.
• DIR/Floortime knowledge/experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Conduct assessments and deliver individualized occupational therapy.
• Meet with parents and/or provide consultation with Developmental Therapists and Teachers.
• Develop goals and complete session documentation and progress reports.
• Support interprofessional planning for students across developmental profiles.
• Focus areas include sensory integration, executive functioning, fine and gross motor skills, handwriting and classroom readiness.
