Job summary

The Good Spirit School Division invites applications for a permanent Occupational Therapist to support students' daily living, self-care, productivity and leisure. The role collaborates with teachers, parents and the interdisciplinary team to promote student success.

The successful candidate will assess and consult on goals, provide reports, deliver workshops, maintain licensure, and travel within Yorkton's hour radius to serve rural schools.

Qualifications

• Degree in Occupational Therapy from a university accredited with the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists.
• Registration with Saskatchewan Society of Occupational Therapists.
• Demonstrated ability to take initiative and follow direction.
• Must work well with others and independently.
• Excellent time management skills.
• Strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Address referrals from assigned schools and provide comprehensive services to students.
• Provide ongoing assessment and consultation regarding goals and activities to optimize students' functioning in education, home, and community.
• Provide written reports regarding student assessment and share with parents and school division personnel through team meetings.
