YMCA of Simcoe/Muskoka is seeking a part-time Registered Early Childhood Educator for Ferndale Woods YMCA Before & After School Program in Barrie. The role emphasizes safety, quality play-based learning, and strong communication with families.

Applicants must be CECE registered or eligible, with First Aid/ CPR Level C, Vulnerable Sector Check, and up-to-date immunizations. Shifts run Monday to Friday, 25 hours weekly, with split mornings and afternoons; some days may be at other locations.

Qualifikationen

• Minimum 18 years of age.
• CECE registration or eligible; ECE program enrollment acceptable.
• Current First Aid & CPR Level C or within 90 days of hire.
• Vulnerable Sector Check required; immunizations up-to-date.

Aufgaben

• Provide personal care and monitor safety for up to 15 children.
• Engage children with play-based learning per YMCA curriculum.
• Communicate professionally with families, staff and volunteers.
• Support inclusive environment and diverse needs.
• Adhere to schedule and maintain ratios, with notice for changes.
• Demonstrate flexibility and take on other duties as assigned.
