Job summary

YMCA of Simcoe/Muskoka in Alliston is seeking a part-time, temporary Registered Early Childhood Educator or approved candidate to support a Before & After School program at Holy Family YMCA. You will provide care and lead play-based activities for children in a safe, nurturing environment.

The role requires current First Aid/CPR, a Vulnerable Sector Check, immunizations, and active CECE registration or eligibility; availability Monday to Friday with split shifts, and a commitment to high-quality

Qualifications

Requires First Aid and CPR (Level C) or completion within 90 days.
Vulnerable Sector Check is required.
Immunizations up-to-date per local health guidelines and law.
CECE registration in good standing or eligibility demonstrated.

Responsibilities

Provide personal care to children, including toileting/diaper changes and first aid.
Supervise groups of up to 15 children with safety at all times.
Plan and implement play-based learning per YMCA curriculum.
Communicate professionally with families, staff and volunteers.
Support inclusive environments for children with additional needs.
Demonstrate alignment with YMCA mission, vision and values.
Maintain schedule to meet ratios; notify supervisor of changes.
Show flexibility with routines and shifts.
Perform other duties as assigned.
