Job Purpose

Responsible for providing assistance to the Inventory Control Manager by creating and maintaining daily production schedules for the operation.

Duties And Responsibilities
  • Schedule product flow throughout the manufacturing process.
  • Develop a 3-4 week look-ahead schedule for upstream and downstream production, routine maintenance (PM’s/Cal’s), and site projects, coordinating with event owners and impacted groups.
  • Work closely with the purchasing team to refine the MRP process.
  • Issue BOM 48 hours before production.
  • Adjust schedules and review with Sr. Scheduler to meet changing needs (e.g., equipment breakdowns, trials, changeovers, material shortages).
  • Determine appropriate batch size and production version for process orders.
  • Communicate and provide weekly production reports to stakeholders to ensure timely product flow.
  • Ensure all GMP documentation and cleaning requests are completed proactively, aligning with upstream/downstream planning and review with Sr. Scheduler.
  • Coordinate overall manufacturing schedule development and create/publish schedule adherence reports as directed.
  • Align with cross-functional teams regarding scheduling activities.
  • Work with production team to issue WIP BOMs as needed.
  • Schedule for all plants as directed by Sr. Scheduler.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Follow health and safety rules and regulations.
  • Comply with GMP, Food Safety, and Food Defense guidelines.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures.
Qualifications
  • Degree or Diploma in Supply Chain Management.
  • Experience as a production scheduler in food manufacturing is an asset.
  • ERP experience is highly desirable.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally.
  • Problem-solving skills with a proactive attitude.
