Job summary

American Iron & Metal (AIM) in Windsor, Ontario, is seeking a Scale Clerk to join our team Monday through Friday, with Saturday overtime available. You will accurately weigh materials, record data, and provide friendly customer service in a fast-paced environment.

Ideal candidates bring experience with scale systems, strong attention to detail, and solid computer skills including MS Office. We offer competitive CAD26.25/hr starting pay, benefits, vacation, and RRSP matching.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a scale house operator or strong customer service setting.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient computer skills and experience with scale software and Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to handle cash transactions and maintain accurate records.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Operate the scale system to accurately weigh incoming and outgoing metal materials.
• Record weights and relevant information in the computer system or on paper records.
• Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner.
• Maintain accurate records of all transactions, weights, material types, and customer information.
• Verify the identification and documentation of drivers, carriers, and vehicles while issuing receipts, and process payments accurately.
• Provide general administrative support, including answering phone calls, responding to emails, and maintaining filing systems.

Job Description

We are seeking a Scale Clerk to join our team from Monday through Friday (Saturday OT available).
