We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Resource Manager to support internal resource planning and staffing for a large, enterprise-wide SAP S/4HANA project, involving all enterprise SAP modules moving to SAP S/4HANA. This pivotal role involves coordinating, managing, and executing resource planning and staffing strategies for mobilizing a significant number of internal staff to support this critical initiative.

The ideal candidate will possess strong skills in workforce planning within a unionized environment, stakeholder engagement, and cross-functional coordination. They should be comfortable operating in a complex enterprise environment and have a deep understanding of project roles (Business, Organizational Change, and Technical) required for such projects.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Support the development of the project resourcing strategy by collaborating with program leadership to design an approach aligned with goals, timelines, and budget.
  2. Create and maintain a detailed resource and workforce plan, including timelines, skill requirements, and sourcing strategies.
  3. Engage with key stakeholders to define resource needs by partnering with PMO, Business Leads, Technical Leads, and OCM to validate role requirements and detail staffing needs.
  4. Coordinate internal resource identification and allocation by working with departmental leaders to plan resource movements with minimal business disruption.
  5. Draft clear and accurate job descriptions for all external SAP S/4HANA-related positions needed for recruitment.
  6. Support staffing and recruiting activities by collaborating with HR, OCM, business units, and DTS to facilitate recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing resource management.

Qualifications & Experience

  • 5+ years experience in resource or workforce planning, preferably in large-scale IT or ERP transformation programs
  • Familiarity with SAP environments, especially ECC and S/4HANA transitions
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Proven experience working with cross-functional teams in a matrixed organization
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and documentation skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with enterprise-wide SAP implementations or upgrades
  • Background in HR, PMO, or organizational change management
  • Experience with project resource management tools (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet)
