Job summary

Wonderbrands in Calgary is seeking a Production Sanitation Team Member to maintain a clean production floor, sanitize equipment, and support GMP and health and safety standards. The position is full-time with shifts available and a wage of $19.25 per hour.

You will operate cleaning tools, dispose of waste, assist with spills, and adhere to company policies. The ideal candidate has manufacturing or food sanitation experience, strong attention to detail, and a willingness to grow into leadership

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing environments, preferably food manufacturing.
• Experience in sanitation, preferably industrial sanitation.
• Comfortable working with sanitizing agents and chemicals.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet cleanliness standards.
• Willingness to work various shifts including weekends and overtime.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of the production floor and surrounding area.
• Use cleaning equipment to clean production floors, ceilings and walls of the bakery area.
• Lockouts, dismantling, cleaning and sanitizing production machines as required.
• Adhere to cleaning procedures in accordance with GMP and Health and Safety guidelines.
• Collect waste and recyclables from the production area.
• Assist in cleaning major spills of liquid or dry products as needed.
• Perform specialized cleaning procedures per master sanitation schedule.
• Comply with all Food Safety, Quality and GMP requirements at all times.

Wage:$19.25/hour

Shift:available to work any shift (flexibility with working overtime, and on weekends, as necessary)

Responsibilities

• Maintainthe cleanliness of the production floor and surrounding area.
• Use cleaning equipment (scrapers, brushes, pads, vacuums, scrub machine, compressed air,power washers) to clean production floors, ceilings, walls of the bakery (warehouse, freezer, refrigerators, packing and production).
• Beresponsible for lockouts, dismantling, cleaning and sanitizingproduction machines as requiredin accordance with master sanitation schedule and standard operating procedures.
• Adhereto cleaning procedures in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices Standards and Health and Safety guidelines.
• Collectwaste andrecyclable materials from production areaand dispose of them.
• Assist in the cleaning of any major spills of liquid or dry products as needed.
• Perform specialized cleaning procedures in accordance with master sanitation schedule.
• Comply with all applicable legislative and Weston Bakeries food safety, health and safety and environmental policies and procedures.
• The Team Member is required to comply with all Food Safety, Quality, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) requirements at all times.

Requirements

• Be a loverof bread and baked goods!
• Have previous experience in a manufacturing environment (even better if it was food manufacturing!).
• Have previous experience in sanitation (even better if it is industrial sanitation!).
• You are comfortable working with sanitizing agents and chemicals.
• You’ve got really strong attention to detail and is able to meet cleanliness standards set by the company.
