Wonderbrands, a leading Canadian bakery with 140 years of experience in baking packaged breads, is hiring a Part-Time Sanitation Worker in Etobicoke, ON. You will help maintain a clean production floor in a food manufacturing setting and operate cleaning equipment such as scrub machines and power washers.

Qualifications

• Industrial/warehouse sanitation experience.
• Experience in food manufacturing preferred.
• Comfort with sanitizing agents and chemicals.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and work safely.
• Strong attention to detail and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of production floor and surrounding area.
• Clean floors, ceilings, walls using scrapers, brushes, vacuums and power washers.
• Lock out, dismantle, clean and sanitize production machines per SOPs.
• Follow GMP and Health & Safety guidelines.
• Collect waste and recyclables from production area.
• Assist in cleaning major spills as needed.
• Perform specialized cleaning per master sanitation schedule.

LOCATION: Etobicoke, ON. (122 Carrier Drive)

RATE: $18.00/hrSHIFT: Friday, Saturday, Sunday (11am - 11pm)

Responsibilities

• Maintainthe cleanliness of the production floor and surrounding area
• Use cleaning equipment (scrapers, brushes, pads, vacuums, scrub machine, compressed air,power washers) to clean production floors, ceilings, walls of the bakery (warehouse, freezer, refrigerators, packing and production).
• Beresponsible for locks out, dismantling, cleaning and sanitizing ofproduction machines as requiredin accordance with master sanitation schedule and standard operating procedures
• Adhereto cleaning procedures in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices Standards and Health and Safety guidelines
• Collectwaste andrecyclable materials from production areaand dispose of them
• Assist in the cleaning of any major spills of liquid or dry product as needed
• Perform specialized cleaning procedures in accordance with master sanitation schedule

Qualifications

• Previous experience in Industrial / Warehouse sanitation and cleaning
• Have previous experience in a manufacturing environment (even better if it was food manufacturing!)
• Comfortable working with sanitizing agents and chemicals
• Strong attention to detail and can met cleanliness standard set by the company
• Enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, be self-reliant, and be energized by opportunities to learn and grow
• Ability to effectively communicate in English (written and verbal)
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and direction
• Possess some degree of mechanical aptitude
• Ability to work in an efficient but safe manner
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Strong numeracy skills
• Ability to think, troublehsoot and react to situation
• Strong multi-tasking skills
• Excellent attendance record
