Job summary

Wonderbrands in Sudbury, Ontario is seeking a dedicated Sanitation Team Member to keep our production areas clean and compliant with GMP standards. The role supports a fast-paced bakery environment and requires flexibility to work weekdays and weekends.

Prior manufacturing sanitation experience is preferred; you will use cleaning equipment and follow master sanitation schedules to ensure a safe, hygienic workspace and food safety compliance.

Qualifications

• Experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably food manufacturing.
• Sanitation experience, ideally in industrial settings.
• Comfort with sanitizing agents and chemicals.
• Strong attention to detail to meet cleanliness standards.
• Able to work in a fast-paced, learning-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of the production floor and surrounding areas.
• Clean production floors, ceilings, walls using equipment like scrapers and scrubbers.
• Lockout, dismantling, cleaning and sanitizing of production machines as required.
• Adhere to cleaning procedures per GMP and Health & Safety guidelines.
• Collect waste and recyclables from the production area.
• Assist in cleaning major spills of liquid or dry product.
• Perform specialized cleaning per the master sanitation schedule.
• Comply with Weston Bakeries policies and environmental guidelines.

Our Sudbury team is looking for Sanitation Team Members!

Location: 695 Martindale Road. Sudbury, ON. P3E 4H6

Shift: Must have flexible availability throughout the week (weekdays and weekends)

Responsibilities

• Maintainthe cleanliness of the production floor and surrounding area.
• Use cleaning equipment (scrapers, brushes, pads, vacuums, scrub machine, compressed air,power washers) to clean production floors, ceilings, walls of the bakery (warehouse, freezer, refrigerators, packing and production).
• Beresponsible for lockouts, dismantling, cleaning and sanitizing ofproduction machines as requiredin accordance with master sanitation schedule and standard operating procedures.
• Adhereto cleaning procedures in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices Standards and Health and Safety guidelines.
• Collectwaste andrecyclable materials from production areaand dispose of them.
• Assist in the cleaning of any major spills of liquid or dry product as needed.
• Perform specialized cleaning procedures in accordance with master sanitation schedule.
• Comply with all applicable legislative and Weston Bakeries food safety, health and safety and environmental policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Have previous experience in a manufacturing environment (even better if it was food manufacturing!).
• Have previous experience in sanitation (even better if it is industrial sanitation!).
• You are comfortable working with sanitizing agents and chemicals.
• You’ve got really strong attention to detail and are able to meet cleanliness standards set by the company.
