Job summary

Steve Madden Canada is seeking a Sales Lead to join our Surrey store. You’ll partner with management to open/close, drive floor energy, and curate an iconic store vibe that attracts loyal clients.

You’ll lead the stylist team with top-tier selling skills, nurture client relationships, and consistently meet daily sales targets while upholding brand standards.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years’ experience as a Sales Lead/Keyholder in a trendsetting fashion brand.
• Experience in sales leadership and managing targets/KPIs.
• Education in fashion and/or retail management is an asset.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills in English.

Responsibilities

• Lead the sales floor, partner with management on opening/closing, and drive performance.
• Develop top-line sales through elite selling, clienteling, and KPI achievement.
• Oversee floor moves, visual merchandising, stock replenishment, and safety.
• Protect brand standards, pricing, loss prevention, and store policies.

You are the ultimate trendsetter and brand ambassador, leading the stylist squad by example with top-tier selling skills, building a loyal client base, and crushing those daily sales targets

Your Daily Hustle (Key Responsibilities)

Fashion, Vibes & Customer Experience

• Trend Expert: Stay ahead of the latest fashion drops, campaigns, and promotions to confidently speak to product details and maximize sales.
• Lead the Numbers: Set the pace as a top sales performer, demonstrating elite selling skills to drive floor productivity and smash daily goals.

Floor Leadership & Store Operations

• Unlock the Floor: Step up and run the floor confidently as the manager-on-duty whenever the Store Manager and Assistant Manager are away.
• Visual Perfection: Bring our products to life by executing seamless floor moves, effective visual merchandising displays, and keeping the store looking immaculate.
• Stockroom Hustle: Confidently pull weight by monitoring deliveries, processing incoming shipments, and keeping the floor beautifully replenished with the bestsellers.
• Protect the Brand: Keep the team safe and secure by adhering to all company policies, loss prevention tactics, security measures, and correct pricing/signing guidelines.

Physical Vibes & Expectations

• High-Energy Hustle: Bring non-stop energy to the floor for 6-8 hours while staying ready to safely lift boxes up to 50 lbs and climb ladders up to 10 feet to pull fresh inventory.

Education and/or Experience

• 2-4 years’ experience as a Sales Lead/Keyholder within a trendsetting fashion brand.
• Previous experience in Sales Leadership and/or managing sales targets and KPI’s
• Completed education in Fashion and/or retail management (asset)
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills in English
