Position
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a motivated Sales Manager join our professional Sales and Marketing team in our South Thames region. Reporting to the Sales and Marketing Director, your primary responsibility will be to manage, train and develop our team of Sales consultants to maximise selling homes across the region.
The role is based at our office in Caterham, Surrey, with regular travel to our marketing suites across Kent, Surrey, Sussex, Hampshire and Berkshire as required.
Some of your key responsibilities:
- Recruit, train, and manage Sales Consultants, including handling day-to-day staff issues, and ensuring adequate cover during absences
- Ensure marketing suites and show homes are clean, well-maintained, properly fitted out, and ready for launches and day-to-day business
- Provide Sales Consultants with necessary and up to date information to be able to respond to customer questions
- Respond to escalated customer complaints, resolving them efficiently
- Oversee weekly sales progression, ensuring notes and local market research are properly recorded, using data to guide pricing and monitor unsold plots in line with targets
- Conduct regular competitive analysis, summarising findings for the Sales & Marketing Director, and make recommendations on pricing, design, and strategy
- Recommend and monitor advertising effectiveness, ensure visibility of plots for sale, and maintain high presentation and safety standards for customer visits
- Enforce company Health & Safety policies, ensure staff training, and verify that customer-facing environments are compliant and secure
Requirements
- Previous experience in a similar role gained in a sales environment within a house-building business.
- A proven track record of managing, training and developing people.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent IT skills using relevant software packages
