Sales Manager

Department: Sales

Objective of Position

This is an excellent opportunity for a driven, achievement-oriented sales professional to play a significant role in a successful, rapidly growing company. You will serve as a key member of the management team, collaborating with colleagues and customers to drive growth and fulfill the company’s promise. Located in Edmonton, leading a team of 8 to 10 sales professionals, you will be responsible for the day-to-day performance of Durabuilt’s Sales team in Edmonton, ensuring adherence to company policies and strengthening sales capabilities in Edmonton and adjoining markets, creating opportunities for career progression as the company continues to grow.

Accountabilities
  1. Lead, create, and execute market business plans, budgets, and strategies to meet or exceed fiscal goals.
  2. Provide hands-on leadership, direction, and coaching to ensure growth of new and existing customers, products, and services.
  3. Champion the use of Salesforce in managing sales pipeline and customer service performance.
  4. Support the development of stronger customer partnerships and reinforce relationship-building skills within your team.
  5. Cultivate and maintain a winning culture by coaching your team to achieve goals through effective behaviors and actions.
  6. Lead the development, training, and coaching plans for all employees, focusing on innovative thinking and continuous improvement initiatives.
  7. Collaborate with your team to ensure an exceptional customer experience through responsiveness, speed to market, and consistency.
  8. Participate in new business development and sales activities related to major opportunities.
  9. Analyze market conditions, economic factors, and competitor movements to effectively position your branch to maximize opportunities.
  10. Evaluate and monitor processes to build, support, and manage a successful, professional sales network.
  11. Build effective relationships across the company to ensure alignment of goals and activities.
  12. Participate in training and development to expand product and industry knowledge.
  13. Engage in industry associations and community activities.
  14. Attend customer relations events to foster relationships and develop opportunities.
Education

Degree in Business, Business Management, or Commerce. Equivalent experience will be considered.

Experience / Capabilities
  1. 10+ years of progressive sales leadership and operational experience.
  2. Proven track record of building, managing, and mentoring sales and operations teams.
  3. Knowledge of the home-building or construction industry is preferred.
  4. Ability to achieve objectives in a competitive market.
  5. Hands-on management style with motivation, coaching, and accountability skills.
  6. Strong prioritization, time-management, and organizational skills.
  7. Excellent communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills.
