Job summary

Canadian Forces Morale and Welfare Services (CFMWS) is hiring a Sales Associate to deliver retail services to CAF members and their families on an on-site basis in Alberta. You will handle cash, operate POS systems, and assist with food and beverage orders while maintaining a clean, organized store environment.

The role emphasizes customer focus, teamwork, and the ability to work in a respectful, service-driven military community with bilingual English/French consideration.

Qualifications

• An acceptable combination of education, training, and experience
• Food Handling Certification, as required
• Must possess a Responsible Service of Alcohol certification (Alberta), as required
• In cash handling
• In food and beverage preparation, as required
• In food and beverage service, as required
• Client focus, organizational knowledge, communication, innovation, teamwork and leadership
• English Essential / Bilingual (English and French) an asset

Responsibilities

• Provide retail services to CAF members and assist with a variety of services, including dry cleaning, lottery, gas, postal, and credit plan applications.
• Operate Point of Sales systems, debit/credit machines and maintain a float.
• Respond to customer inquiries and ensure shelves are stocked, faced and signed.
• Assist in food and beverage orders and maintain cleanliness of service areas.

THE ROLE

As a Sales Associate, you provide retail services to a unique client base - members of the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF), and in assisting them, you are helping your community. You may provide a variety of services, including regular retail services, dry cleaning, lottery services, self-serve gas services, postal services, and assisting CAF members with credit plan applications. You will operate Point of Sales systems, the debit/credit machine and maintain a float.

The Sales Associate responds to enquiries from customers providing them with information on merchandising and ensuring the store shelves are stocked, faced, and properly signed. You may take and prepare food and beverage orders and prepare takeout food, while ensuring cleanliness of food service and eating areas.

Qualifications Needed
