Job summary

Canadian Forces Morale and Welfare Services (CFMWS) seeks a Home and Electronics Sales Associate to provide retail services to CAF members and their families. You will help set up electronics, computers, appliances and furniture, and offer expert product advice while driving sales.

You may also perform other retail services, cash handling, and food/beverage orders while ensuring cleanliness. This is an on-site role requiring a service-oriented mindset and team collaboration.

Qualifications

• Education can be a mix of formal or informal training and experience.
• Food handling certification is required as applicable.
• Experience in electronics, computers, furniture or appliances is preferred.
• Experience selling extended warranties and accessories is valued.
• Experience cash handling and merchandising is expected.

Responsibilities

THE ROLE

As a Home and Electronics Sales Associate, you provide retail services to a unique client base - members of the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) and in assisting them, you are helping your community. You assist in the set-up of the electronics, computers, appliances, and furniture departments and provide technical and professional advice on sales and products offered. You assist with ordering stock and ensure that shelves are stocked, faced, and properly signed. You explain and sell extended warranty programs and accessories.

The Home and Electronics Sales Associate may also provide a variety of other retail services, including regular retail services, dry cleaning, lottery services, self-serve gas services, and postal services. You will operate Point of Sales systems, the debit/credit machine, and maintain a float. You may take and prepare food and beverage orders and prepare takeout food, while ensuring cleanliness of food service and eating areas.

Food Handling Certification, as required
