Job summary

Staples Canada in Victoria is seeking a customer-focused retail associate to assist shoppers, drive sales in the furniture, technology and supplies areas of the store, and uphold store brand standards.

You will handle transactions using the POS system, maintain a clean and safe store environment, and participate in merchandising and signage standards. Associates receive benefits and recognition programs.

Qualifications

• 3 months to 1 year of retail experience preferred.

Specifically, you will

• Engage with and sell to all our customers by offering tailored products and services using all tools and techniques available in our selling model to anticipate and meet future customer needs.
• Handle transactions using the Point of Sale (POS) system, including shipping transactions and marketing tools to convert customers.
• Calmly de-escalate and assist in complex customer situations to ensure their concerns are addressed effectively or refer to a manager/supervisor.
• Maintain a clean and safe store environment by performing tasks like dusting, front-facing products, and ensuring demo units are clean and functional.
