Job summary

Staples Canada in Ontario is hiring for an in-store retail role focused on delivering exceptional customer service and driving sales across furniture, technology, and supplies. You will work with store leaders to set and achieve sales and margin goals while upholding brand standards.

You will handle transactions using POS, assist customers, and maintain a clean, safe store environment with attention to planograms and merchandising.

Qualifications

• 3 months to 1 year of prior retail experience (preferred).
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Specifically, you will

• Engage with and sell to all our customers by offering tailored products and services using all tools and techniques available in our selling model to anticipate and meet future customer needs.
• Handle transactions using the Point of Sale (POS) system, including shipping transactions and marketing tools to convert customers.
• Calmly de-escalate and assist in complex customer situations to ensure their concerns are addressed effectively or refer to a manager/supervisor.
• Maintain a clean and safe store environment by performing tasks like dusting, front-facing products, and ensuring demo units are clean and functional.
