Job summary

Staples Canada is hiring an in-store Associate to join the Salmon Arm location. You will deliver excellent customer service, assist shoppers with furniture, technology and supplies, and help meet sales goals.

Responsibilities include handling POS transactions, assisting customers, maintaining store standards, merchandising, and safety policies. A team-oriented environment offers opportunities for growth and development.

Qualifications

• 3 months to 1 year of retail experience (preferred).
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Some of what you will do

Specifically, you will

• Engage with and sell to all our customers by offering tailored products and services using all tools and techniques available in our selling model to anticipate and meet future customer needs.
• Handle transactions using the Point of Sale (POS) system, including shipping transactions and marketing tools to convert customers.
• Calmly de-escalate and assist in complex customer situations to ensure their concerns are addressed effectively or refer to a manager/supervisor.
• Maintain a clean and safe store environment by performing tasks like dusting, front-facing products, and ensuring demo units are clean and functional.
