Job summary

The Wine Shop #40 at Zehrs in Waterloo is recruiting a friendly sales teammate to deliver a superior shopping experience. You will assist customers, provide product information and operate the point-of-sale system with accuracy.

This role requires at least 2 years of customer service, Smart Serve certification, and comfort with cash handling, basic computer tasks, and lifting up to 40 lbs. Flexibility to work days, evenings, weekends and holidays is essential.

Qualifications

• Two years of customer service experience required.
• Smart Serve certification is required.
• Proficient with Windows applications (Word/Excel/Outlook).
• Able to lift up to 40 lbs and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with purchases and provide product information.
• Handle cash and balance the till accurately.
• Support merchandising and stock replenishment on the floor.
• Maintain clean shelves and display units; ensure health and safety rules are followed.
• Contribute to a positive team environment and customer satisfaction.

• Demonstrated guest/customer service excellence focus
• Experience working with computer-based point of sale systems and handling cash an asset
• 2 years of customer service experience required
• Smart Serve Certification
• Working knowledge of Windows application including Word, Excel and Outlook
• Flexibility to work days, evenings, weekends and holidays
• Ability to consistently lift 40lbs on a regular basis

This teammate will be accountable for...

• Ensuring total customer satisfaction and outstanding customer service is provided to every customer
• Assist customers with their purchases and provides them with product information when required
• Assists with product shipments and merchandising, including light cleaning of shelves and display units
• Handle cash and accurately balance the till
• Complies with Health and Safety rules & Security within the workplace
• Team player who contributes equally to the team's efforts.
