Job summary

The Wine Shop Ltd. in Hamilton, Ontario is seeking an extraordinary teammate to join our team of wine specialists.

You will deliver a superior shopping experience, assist customers with purchases, share product knowledge, and help maintain attractive displays. We are looking for friendly individuals with strong guest service, cash handling experience, Smart Serve certification, and the ability to lift 40 lbs.

Qualifications

• Guest service excellence focus.
• Cash handling experience is a plus.
• 2 years of customer service experience required.
• Working knowledge of Windows (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Flexibility to work days, evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Ability to lift 40 lbs regularly.

Responsibilities

• Ensure total customer satisfaction and outstanding service for every customer.
• Assist customers with purchases and provide product information as required; assist with shipments and merchandising.
• Handle cash and balance till accurately.
• Comply with Health and Safety rules and security within the workplace.
• Be a team player contributing to the team’s efforts.

• Experience working with computer-based point of sale systems and handling cash an asset
• 2 years of customer service experience required
• Smart Serve Certification
• Working knowledge of Windows application including Word, Excel and Outlook
• Flexibility to work days, evenings, weekends and holidays
• Ability to consistently lift 40lbs on a regular basis

• Ensuring total customer satisfaction and outstanding customer service is provided to every customer
• Assist customers with their purchases and provides them with product information when requiredAssists with product shipments and merchandising, including light cleaning of shelves and display units
• Handle cash and accurately balance the till
