Job summary

Staples Canada is seeking a friendly Retail Associate to deliver exceptional customer service and drive engagement in our store. You will help customers, suggest products across furniture, technology, and supplies, and support store leaders in meeting sales and margin goals.

You will maintain a clean, safe store environment, process transactions at the POS, and participate in merchandising tasks, stock checks, and signage compliance to uphold our brand standards.

Qualifications

• 3 months to 1 year of prior retail experience (preferred).
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

• Engage with and sell to all our customers by offering tailored products and services using all tools and techniques.
• Handle transactions using the POS system, including shipping transactions and marketing tools to convert customers.
• Calmly de-escalate and assist in complex customer situations to ensure their concerns are addressed effectively.
• Maintain a clean and safe store environment by performing tasks like dusting and stocking.

• Engage with and sell to all our customers by offering tailored products and services using all tools and techniques available in our selling model to anticipate and meet future customer needs.
• Handle transactions using the Point of Sale (POS) system, including shipping transactions and marketing tools to convert customers.
• Calmly de-escalate and assist in complex customer situations to ensure their concerns are addressed effectively or refer to a manager/supervisor.
• Maintain a clean and safe store environment by performing tasks like dusting, front-facing products, and ensuring demo units are clean and functional.
