Job summary

Staples Canada in Calgary is seeking a customer-focused retail associate to deliver outstanding service, engage shoppers, and drive sales across furniture, technology and supplies while upholding store standards.

Responsibilities include POS transactions, merchandising and signage, stocking, housekeeping, and upholding health and safety policies. Prior retail experience and strong communication are preferred; you’ll join a supportive team with growth and recognition.

Qualifications

• 3 months to 1 year of prior retail experience (preferred).

Specifically, you will

• Engage with and sell to all our customers by offering tailored products and services using all tools and techniques available in our selling model to anticipate and meet future customer needs.
• Handle transactions using the Point of Sale (POS) system, including shipping transactions and marketing tools to convert customers.
• Calmly de-escalate and assist in complex customer situations to ensure their concerns are addressed effectively or refer to a manager/supervisor.
• Maintain a clean and safe store environment by performing tasks like dusting, front-facing products, and ensuring demo units are clean and functional.
