Job summary

Staples Canada in Edmonton is seeking a Retail Associate to deliver outstanding customer service while driving sales across furniture, technology and supplies. You will work with store leaders to set and reach sales and margin goals and uphold brand standards.

You will engage customers, process POS transactions, maintain store safety and merchandising, and support planograms. The role requires 3 months to 1 year in retail, strong communication, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• 3 months to 1 year of prior retail experience (preferred).
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Specifically, you will

• Engage with and sell to all our customers by offering tailored products and services using all tools and techniques available in our selling model to anticipate and meet future customer needs.
• Handle transactions using the Point of Sale (POS) system, including shipping transactions and marketing tools to convert customers.
• Calmly de-escalate and assist in complex customer situations to ensure their concerns are addressed effectively or refer to a manager/supervisor.
• Maintain a clean and safe store environment by performing tasks like dusting, front-facing products, and ensuring demo units are clean and functional.
