Job summary

Staples Canada in Sherwood Park, AB is seeking a customer-focused Retail Associate to deliver outstanding service and assist customers with product selection.

You will drive sales across furniture, technology and supplies, maintain store standards, handle POS transactions, and collaborate with the team to keep shelves stocked and welcoming. This role supports health and safety and adheres to company policies.

Qualifications

• 3 months to 1 year of prior retail experience (preferred).

Specifically, you will

• Engage with and sell to all our customers by offering tailored products and services using all tools and techniques available in our selling model to anticipate and meet future customer needs.
• Handle transactions using the Point of Sale (POS) system, including shipping transactions and marketing tools to convert customers.
• Calmly de-escalate and assist in complex customer situations to ensure their concerns are addressed effectively or refer to a manager/supervisor.
• Maintain a clean and safe store environment by performing tasks like dusting, front-facing products, and ensuring demo units are clean and functional.
