Job summary

Staples Canada is seeking a customer-focused associate in Delta to deliver exceptional service and drive sales across furniture, technology and supplies. You will work with store leaders to set and meet sales goals, while upholding brand standards and a safe, organized shopping environment.

Ideal candidates bring 3 months to 1 year of retail experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to collaborate with a team to assist customers and maintain merchandising standards.

Qualifications

• 3 months to 1 year of prior retail experience (preferred).
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional customer service and enhance customer engagement and satisfaction.
• Drive sales in the furniture, technology and supplies areas of the store.
• Set and achieve sales and margin goals with store leaders.
• Ensure operational excellence and uphold store brand standards.
• Support all merchandising and signage standards including planograms and stocking.
• Maintain Health & Safety, Asset Protection, and Privacy Policies.
• Engage with and sell to customers using all tools and techniques to anticipate and meet needs.
• Handle transactions using the POS system, including shipping transactions and marketing tools.
• Calmly de-escalate and assist in complex customer situations or refer to a manager.
• Maintain a clean and safe store environment including dusting, front-facing products, and demo units.

Specifically, you will

• - Engage with and sell to all our customers by offering tailored products and services using all tools and techniques available in our selling model to anticipate and meet future customer needs.
• - Handle transactions using the Point of Sale (POS) system, including shipping transactions and marketing tools to convert customers.
• - Calmly de-escalate and assist in complex customer situations to ensure their concerns are addressed effectively or refer to a manager/supervisor.
• - Maintain a clean and safe store environment by performing tasks like dusting, front-facing products, and ensuring demo units are clean and functional.
