Job summary

Staples Canada in Ontario is seeking a Retail Associate to deliver exceptional customer service and drive sales across furniture, technology, and supplies. You will help maintain store standards, support merchandising, and uphold health, safety, and privacy policies.

You will engage with customers using our selling model, handle POS transactions, and contribute to a clean, safe store environment. Team collaboration and strong communication are essential for success.

Qualifications

• 3 months to 1 year of prior retail experience (preferred).
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Specifically, you will

• Engage with and sell to all our customers by offering tailored products and services using all tools and techniques available in our selling model to anticipate and meet future customer needs.
• Handle transactions using the Point of Sale (POS) system, including shipping transactions and marketing tools to convert customers.
• Calmly de-escalate and assist in complex customer situations to ensure their concerns are addressed effectively or refer to a manager/supervisor.
• Maintain a clean and safe store environment by performing tasks like dusting, front-facing products, and ensuring demo units are clean and functional.
